About the Role:

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of shutdowns, construction and maintenance works for an assigned project portfolio at our current operations onsite in the Pilbara region.

The Operations Manager will set strategy, direction and provide leadership to our onsite team, while driving core safety behaviours, to effectively deliver operational projects and continuous improvement in the Pilbara.  This role is suited to a highly energetic individual who is motivated to succeed and build on well-established client partnerships.

About You:

  • Significant mining operations experience, ideally in iron ore.
  • Possess a sound understanding of scaffolding and demonstrated mechanical knowledge.
  • Proven business acumen, preferably with exposure to resources and finance.
  • Experience with Contract and Contractor Management.
  • Strong safety focus and a “lead by example” approach to achieve safe outcomes.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of organisational skills and an ability to meet deadlines whilst managing multiple functions simultaneously.
  • Able to identify and implement opportunity’s that improve productivity, efficiency, and cost.
  • Be able to work autonomously and within a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with all MS Office suite of programs.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Project.
  • A proven ability to coach, mentor and influence change.
  • Knowledge of relevant mines legislation and regulations.
