The following information contains the terms and conditions for course commencement.
A candidate’s enrolment at Breight Education is considered to be an agreement with the terms and conditions of enrolment. This course brochure is to be read in conjunction with the student’s handbook. You are required to provide Breight Education with your USI# (Unique Student Identifier Number) at the time of enrolment.
5 days (8.00 am to 4.00 pm)
Participants must have a basic level of understanding with math and English. You will be required to pass a simple Language, Literacy and Numeracy test before commencing this course. Participants must be physically able to:
·Undertake manual handling tasks
·Carry items up to 25-30 kgs
·Manoeuvre hand tools
·Participants must be a minimum of 18 years of ag
This course is designed for participants that are currently employed within the scaffold industry and looking to improve their existing skills, across the construction, mining and oil & gas sectors.
Course completion may lead to employment in the Scaffolding industry, across the construction, mining and oil & gas sectors. On completion of the unit participants may undertake further studies in scaffolding.
To give the attendees such knowledge and skills to enable them to
erect, and dismantle scaffolding structures of an advanced complexity
in the traditional tube and fitting and common system scaffolds.

·Australian Statutory Regulations and Codes of Practice
·AS/ NZ 1576 & 4576 Guidelines
·Safe Handling and Inspection of Materials (Manual Handling)
·Preventing Falls in Scaffolding (SG4:10)
·Intermediate Scaffold Skills Test
·Complex Design Appreciation
·Assessing Material Requirements for Advanced Scaffolds:
·Suspended / Swing Stage
·Skills Test (Practical – WorkSafe and CPCCLSF4001A)
This course will be delivered in our Training Facility at 1 Eyre Street, Rivervale, with practical assessments delivered at the same premises – this assessment is delivered over a period of several days. Additional time may be required where a student requires additional skill development training.
Each individual will be required to complete three areas of assessment for this Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency CPCCLSF4001A – Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding advanced level these include:
·Practical/ performance assessment
A Student cannot be deemed competent unless they are able to demonstrate competency in all assessments. Each candidate has a maximum of two additional opportunities to demonstrate competency without additional fees applying.
Breight Education provides appropriate learner support to all students through its assessment delivery, applying reasonable adjustment to assessment where learning difficulties are experienced by the student.
When a student has not yet gained competency the student will be required to pay further assessment fees for the unit of competency.
Breight Education recognises AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by any Registered Training Organisation in Australia.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)
RPL is a form of assessment that acknowledges skills and knowledge gained through:
·Formal training conducted by industry or education;
·Work experience; and/ or
The main principle of RPL focuses on the outcomes of learning, rather than when or where the learning occurred. Evidence of competency is collected by the student and submitted to the nominated Assessor, and an assessment is made based on the required industry standard within the relevant training package unit of competency.

RPL fees are available on request.
Breight Education does not receive total fees in excess of $1500 in advance of the course delivery.
The initial $400 Course Deposit is payable by electronic funds transfer, direct deposit or credit card prior to course commencement. Breight Education will only enroll students who have paid the required initial $400 deposit of course in advance.
The balance of the remaining fees is payable prior to course commencement.
These course fees exclude the cost of the High Risk Work License issued by WorkSafe.
These fees will be paid by you when you apply for your High Risk Work License issued by WorkSafe.
Certification will not be issued where course fees have not been paid in full.
