CPCCLSF2001 - License to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level

Gain knowledge and skills that enables you to inspect, erect, alter and dismantle basic scaffolding structures.

What you’ll learn in this course

Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level consists of:

  • Australian Statutory Regulations and Codes of Practice
  • AS/NZ 1576 & 4576 Guidelines
  • Safe Handling/transportation and inspection of materials (Manual Handling)
  • Preventing Falls in Scaffolding/tethering and dropped object prevention
  • Introduction Tube and Coupler components and builds

Entry Requirements

  • Participants must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • In order to improve outcomes, all candidates in the Basic Scaffolding course will be required to show completion of RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights unit.
  • This can be completed through Breight Education prior to the start of the Basic Scaffolding course. If you already hold this unit you will need to provide the Statement of Attainment to the Training Administration Team.
  • Candidates must have a basic level of understanding of math and English and will be required to pass a simple Language, Literacy, and Numeracy test before commencing this course.
  • Participants must be physically able to:
    – Undertake manual handling tasks
    – Work at Heights
  • Assessment

    A candidate cannot be deemed competent for the unit unless they are able to demonstrate satisfactory performance (to the required level) in all assessment tasks.  Each candidate has a maximum of two additional opportunities to demonstrate competency without additional fees applying.
